Thelma’s

Village

The unexpected journey that changed everything.

Thelma’s Village was created for my best friend, Nathan, after he  survived one of the most terrifying and life altering experiences  imaginable.

Nathan is trans man (he/him), and on May 14th, 2026, he unexpectedly gave birth  completely    alone in his home. He had no idea he was pregnant. There was no preparation, no bag packed for the hospital, no nursery waiting, no emotional support system ready for him. One moment life  was normal, and the next he was facing labor, childbirth, and the overwhelming  reality of becoming a parent entirely by himself.

I cannot fully understand the fear, shock, and confusion of realizing you are giving birth with no warning and no one beside you. What should have been months of medical care, planning, and support became an immediate fight to survive physically and emotionally while protecting a  newborn baby.

In the aftermath of that trauma, Nathan  has been doing everything he can to care  for his daughter, Thelma, while also carrying the crushing weight of rent, bills, recovery, baby supplies, and the fear of an  uncertain future. Thelma's father is not  involved, leaving Nathan to navigate this unimaginable situation alone.

Nathan is one of the strongest, most  compassionate people I know. Nobody  should have to endure something this frightening without a village behind them. That is why I created Thelma’s Village. Nathan and his baby deserve a sense of  safety, stability, and support while they rebuild their lives after the moment that  changed everything.

Donations help provide housing security, food, diapers, medical needs, recovery support, and basic necessities for Nathan  and baby Thelma. Even sharing this page helps more than you  know.

Sometimes tragedy and love arrive at the  same time. Right now, my best friend needs people willing to help carry some of that weight.
